I am in a constant battle with my randalli gobies pistol shrimp he constantly covers my corals in the sandbed

I have successfully got rid of it with vibrant, not sure if you will want to use it after the scandal.

I was using it to be honest. It certainly reduced it from plague proportions, but it also messed up my microfauna, and in the process of removing my macroalgae from my refugium, my pod population plummeted. So, now that I've stopped, started running carbon to help remove, put fresh chaeto in refugium and added the shortspines/manual removal, I'm starting to win the battle.

Red flatworms ( I won )
Took over a year to naturally irradiate them but they are gone .

everything from wrasses , manually removing them and adding a few blue velvet nudis .
1 year later after I was considering chemically removing them . They are gone

I have two:
Cyano bacteria - I fought it for 2 years just to have it and the other algae I was facing vanish randomly one day after adding a Hector’s Goby!

My other was the beautiful Neon Velvet Damselfish (Paraglyphidodon oxyodon), I’d love another but I cannot stand that aggression. I’d love to have a beautiful 6 inch specimen but wow the aggression I had with my last one was a nightmare. Killed 4-5 new additions (I couldn’t get rid of it either, nobody wanted it and the only other tanks I had back then were freshwater). They’re beautiful under the right lighting, their blue’s get highlighted and the yellow is also brighter.

Mine was only 2-3 inch! Dread to think of the aggression of a 5 inch or 6 inch guy.

Vermatid snails in my last tank. With no known predator, it is usually eradicated via hand. Not a big deal if you have 10 in your tank. If you have hundreds of pounds of rock though, cant get to most of them. It just stinks because you dont like seeing them there. I know they say the are harmless but nonetheless, I hated looking at them!

To catch him I had to use a fishing line baited with raw seafood

Let’s protest mask regulations but be ok with paying almost $2 per litre of fuel .

I see the reefing hobby will change for the worse one day .
where it will be so restricted or expensive it won’t even be a hobby anymore .

Hopefully it doesn’t - The hobby it is today is amazing. Guess things change anyway and people ignore the good things done in the past.

If they put a certain limit to how many of each creature could be taken out per year/season, it wouldn’t be bad but doubt they’ll do that any time soon.

Their need to control the outcome (for good) considers that we don’t know what safe levels of harvest might be so they decide to not risk any harvest because they know best. Not to mention that keeping animals is as cruel as slavery for some…
