Split the end of a 1/2” pvc pipe, stuck a toothbrush in and used a zip tie to hold the slot closed. That thing could get all sorts of places clean.

I forgot my great picture. I DIY a lot, but this was fast and ridiculously useful for what I needed.

I have done protein skimmers, algae scrubbers, overflows, lights, all kinds of good stuff, along with some really silly stuff out of old items I have around.

This was in my grow out before being moved to my big tank, small drinking glass and baby scopas I did the same with the baby convict that was next in the tank, left the glass in for 24 hours then added a few small pellets and walk away, I didn't lift it at this point as this is the first time it was in there so I let it eat them all and re baited and stood to the side of the tank.
Both fish took less than 5 minutes to catch.

I use a fiberglass stake (the type people use to show where the curb is when snow covered) with airline tubing zip-tied to it and then shove a 15ml syringe to the back end. This is my makeshift turkey baster/ target feeder.

Have made multiple over the years. Works great

Probably one of my most ridiculous aquarium tools would be this oversized pizza cutter style GSP trimmer. With the "bare bottom" covered in GSP in a 36" deep tank I wanted an easy way of trimming it back when it would reach the vertical panes.

Ok, I freaking LOVE this feeding tool now. I can reach everywhere in my tank without getting my hands wet at all, and feeds any food I want it to. Great for feeding mysis to my favia and chalice..... and my serpent, star, can't forget him. It reaches all the way to his little nook without any issue at all.
