Added a few new corals and hoping to get some good pictures of all of them soon. Here's one that I'm really excited about:

:) Thanks Naka! I was busy all day today and didn't get a chance to take any pictures but hoping to have some time this week to do a big update with pictures.

Just curious how did you attach the mesh screen on the rimless?By the way great looking tanks.

I'd be excited too! Gorgeous piece!

Yo Flip! Thanks. I need to pop over to your thread to check in on things!

I was lucky and got the clear mesh from a LFS who ordered it in bulk -- it's hard to source around AZ otherwise -- but I think BulkReefSupply sells it. Anyway, I just cut the mesh and used a hacksaw on some screen door trimming to get the sizes I need and then you pull the mesh over the frame and use spline (like this) and a spline roller (like this) to secure it into place. Other than the mesh, I got everything I needed to make covers for both tanks for under $25. Let me know if that doesn't make sense and I'll try to do a better job of explaining it or take better pictures so you can see what I'm talking about.

I would be excited about that one too .Nice find .
Going tank hunting today ..May go larger or smaller ..
What to do ..lol
I have a pardon play on words insane Favia coming in soon.
Couldn't help myself ....just had to have it .

Sweet news on the tank. Keep me posted on what you find! I'll need to see some pictures of the favia you have coming in, I'm sure it's sick -- just like all of your corals.

Plan is to clean the tank and take some pictures tonight -- sorry for the delayed "monthly" update.

Pics would be good.Does the frame sit on the edge of tank?

awesome addition! 1smile1

Thanks Marvin! I had to move that mummy eye chalice because the blue spot kept dumping sand on it. He was initially a little upset that we ruined his home, which he spent a week making. But it all came back together and looks great now. And, the mummy eye is in a safe spot where it can grow out.

Ok, I'll try to remember to snap some pics tonight. Yes, the frames just rest right on the top rim of the tanks.

I've been meaning to post up some new pictures but it's taken me awhile to find the time. Life has been busy, but the tanks have just been plugging along. Nothing big to report on, so I'll just get right to it!

I recently added some new SPS: Original Red Dragon, WWC Red Dragon, Battle Corals (BC) Rainbows in Spain, BC Pearly Cadaver, BC Mad Hatter Milli, Unique Corals (UC) Ice/Fire Echinata, Flashlight Acro

I haven't gotten good pictures of all of them, but here are a few:

Original Red Dragon:

BC Pearly Cadaver:

Flashlight Acro:

Here are some growth shots of acros that have been in the tank for awhile:

Thanks everyone! It's been a balance between color and growth and some corals certainly seem to like different parameters than others. Just trying to find a good (not perfect) balance. Manual dosing is getting to be a pain --- recalculating my dosages currently since my dkh and cal were a little low, 7 and 400, respectfully.
