zoa colony not opening fully

Hate to jump in here with a picture of mine but having kinda the same problem. I closed down my first 40 gal tank & these were doing great in it but then moved to the 65 gal tank I have up & running now for around 2 months. They are not wanting to open up in the new tank, I tried a ro-di only dip per advise given by a friend but has not seemed to help any. Should I give up on them & take them out or just leave until completely gone??

half of my colony stayed closed for weeks, and if I didn't have my final exam,I wanted to break the LR and keep only the opened polyps part..But I had really no time to do so.. so I kept them as they are.. last week, surprise!! they remembered to wake up! lol
not early..
Keep them,I will say if there is no melting they are fine, just check other things that can be affecting them, flow? parameters?
