Looks like your standard crazy zoas morphing in different tank conditions. Wait until they stabilize and quit morphing (when a baby pops out and grows up to look like the adults) then we can make a proper IDok ok. So I’m about to hijack this post to ask about my zoas because what the heck is happening with them (sorry Oscar!)
But this was them when I first got them right?
now months later, I have two polyps that look like this:
And two polyps looking like stratosphere wannabes:
(Apologize for the last one- I gave it to CaliKid Corals and they have been holding onto it for me. He shined a light on it, and that was the pic I took)
soooooo seeing this update now....what are they?? Loll

Wow that’s a 20 gal? Looks good lol I went with the bare bottom too on my lagoon ! I especially love the ones with the yellow skirt orange ring and purple center in the last pic!Nice stuff!! Here’s some massive shots

Unfortunately they no longer have golden leopards lol
but thank you I appreciate that...what’s on Instagram is about 1/3 or less of all I have but most of them are in places I can’t photograph lol haven’t quite figured out my DSLR so for now I use My iPhone

Those are just regular old lunar eclipse! A lot of my higher end stuff is new and in shipping right now (hallucination, yeti, white walkers, seduction, Aphrodite, frostbite, Miami Vice, etc etc) I’m so excited to get my lagoon rolling! I think im gonna kinda go for the same look as WWC’s mangrove lagoon tank because I want to have a lot of floor space to grow my zoas on but yk still have room for things like elegance, euphyllia, anemones, etc. This 20 gallon is my first salt tank and it’s turning 1 year old in February! I’m really happy with my progress in the hobby

The first picture looks a lot like Solar Circus. Mine got a lot more solid in my tank, though some still look like your first picture.

Interestinggggg....I haven't seen a whole lot of pictures of them so its nice to compare! The speckles on yours still look pretty scattered though compared to mine which seems to splatter in chunks as well as speckles.

Well you’re certainly light years ahead of when I started lol and that’s a nice bit of high end ! I have the white walkers and seductions, waiting on hallucinations and Aphrodites ! I’ve got 3 tanks and I still don’t feel like I’ve got enough room! I’m thinking about completely selling a few of my lower end zoas or ones that I feel like look too similar to other ones I have (looking at you Halle berry/ crybabies) to make room for some new additions! I really don’t want to get rid of any though, I love them all

I know! I have 3 as well I can’t wait for my lagoon 25 to be ready! I’ve gotten to a point where I won’t carry generic stuff anymore haha so like most of the common stuff every LFS has around me I don’t have it’s super weird but that leaves room for high end stuff I have to ship in lol

I’ve got a massive cabbage coral that I want to replace with a yellow Tonga leather. Only issue is that the cabbage is so securely on the rock that I can’t get rid of it. I’d have to chuck out that rock but it’s the base rock for my entire aquascape so I can’t do that. Any ideas on how to remove it? I’m kind of regretting my scolys... I have 4 of them now and with all the floor space I could have 10-15 more varieties of zoa. I really don’t know what to do!

Post a pic ! You may be able to chip around the rock work with bone cutters... also lol that’s why you’re gonna get that lagoon up ASAP right?
yeah I feel that I have gotten into expensive mushrooms and anemones so the 25 lagoon will be dedicated to that and the 20 frag and 50 lagoon will be zoanthids ! Justgot back home too so time to see what 2 months zoa growth looks like

move the funds!!! Or start fragging and selling some stuff yourself. I had to start doing that to afford the hobby and it's been really great for me. If you manage to get a golden leopard, PM me in a couple months so I can get a frag!
