So yesterday I was gluing a little colony of zoas to a frag plug, placed it on my fish tank stand so it could fuse together before placing it back in the tank. Well, I forgot it was there and only now just found it. I feel completely stupid for doing this and I believe it's a goner but was just curious if anyone else had experienced something like this and if their zoas magically lived? It looks dried out (it was out of water for over 24 hours) which is why I think it's dead but maybe I'm wrong? I don't know.

Idk if zoas can survive that long but I know acros withstand days out of water in the wild without any damage.
And yet they're so freaking sensitive.

It's the frag in the back, right below the flash of my camera. Looks pretty pitiful.

Corals are crazy I took gsp to a swap and had few frags left in cooler I forgot about. Cooler sat outside through January till summer went to go to a swap n found em tossed bags onto cover of bed of truck week later few of the bags had green polyps coming out. Yes gsp are weeds but gotta try to see if it can pull through.

Well that gives me a little hope. Like I said hoping they come back around.

I've done that and they have survived lol. Well not 24 hours but like 14-15 and the 3-4 frags made it. I've actually by mistake also left frags on ro water for 1-3 days and they also survived.

Were they common zoas or high end ones? Do you remember what type?

How long did it take them to recover?

Both the 14-15 hours out of water and the 1-3 days in RO Frags?
