00W's AIO Smorgasbord

I just wanted to look smart and let everyone know I know where you are from. You blew it for me now it is just another confirmation I’m an idiot. But I’ve come to terms with it.
Sorry trying to mud and reef. I have a large rock of Xenia I was gonna give away

I'm planning on doing a mixed reef but want to start out with only fish and corals and mushrooms that are considered easy as this will be my first SW tank. I know I want pulsating xenia and zoas. Clowns and then I'm still trying to decide what else I am going to try my best to stock with captive bred only.
I have a rock full of pulsing Xenia if you come to Knoxville. When you're ready.

We'll all talk tomorrow. :)

just worked a cardiac arrest, nothing worse then giving the notification afterwards. :’( sad night for me friends
Been there. I'm very sorry. I don't think most people could understand the trauma First Responders experience.

Thank you so much! I will let you know when I'm ready if you don't mind holding it that long! Might be towards the end of February maybe even early March. I am suppose to get the tank mid to late February. I'm going to use live rock and sand and fritz to speed up the cycle.

You might want to wait a couple of months to add this one. It's about 8" and covered in Xenia. I don't mind holding it. We are slowly working on our new build.

@Katrina71 what do you think is the best sand, is live sand worth the price?

-HOB OF: Eshopps PF-300
-Protein Skimmer: Reef octopus Classic 110-SSS
-Return Pump: 800GPH, 19.99 on amazon, APRHOOD 800

P.S i just did the math for all supplies purchased over the course of this year and i am up to $1,174.00 --> this is what it costs me to get the tank cycled lol! im sure you guys have muchhhhhh more invested over the years. still not a horrible price, all equipment is bought "used"

buying used is good for somethings..as far as"live sand" waste of money...Just buy dry sand , rinse it good and put it in a bucket with salt water at salinity of 35ppt(1.025) and Brightwell Microbacter7 for a few days . Most live sand they just add "bottled bacteria" and it is not good to mix all types of bacteria..as they will compete with each other..
