You know what’s awesome? There was a time in my life that I was triggered on the internet. Now, this is just comedy. Thanks for the laughs. Btw the crab was awesome. Crab, sausage, mussels, clams, corn, potatoes. Hope that doesn’t trigger Kyle. Bragging about eating seafood on a reef forum.

Actually - if you think about it - its not me supporting the big corporation - its the person posting the '$10/off' - but I guess thats hard to grasp for some here. As I've said - I think 5 times now - with a coupon or without a coupon - its a sale for them. Frankly - when push comes to shove - I criticize BRS - who is pretending to be some kind of 'savior' giving away $300K - via $10 coupons. My point responding to this post had nothing to do with support or not BRS as 'one of 'you people''

Just to make it clear - my 'odd point' was 'define an abbreviation' - and that it was perhaps not a good idea to post online coupons (without knowing what the abbreviation meant) - online. Thats been lost because I said I did not think it was proper to post codes online. Its my opinion. I'm entitled to my opinion (I think) - thats it. Others disagree - thats great - all good. Part of my 'point' related to the undercurrent against BRS that seems to have 'sprung up' - because of their financial dealings. But - in the end - we all agree - they put out the coupons to 'make a sale'. Thats clear.

IMHO There is a difference between buying lets say a t-shirt at Kohls - and buying something you NEED for your reef tank. You can put off the buying of the shirt until there is a deal. If you need more of something to keep your tank alive, you aren't likely to wait. This - IMHO - is why the marketing strategy is different than the one you're mentioning. Oh - and BTW - I would totally believe that there are higher level gift certificates - and I also think part of the 300K was the equipment that they randomly shipped out (but not sure about that).
Person A gets a $10 off coupon. Doesn't need anything. Expires.
Person B gets a $10 coupon from person A -needs something today - they get $10 off. In which situation does BRS make more profit.
I would BET (I haven't tried it lol - maybe I will) - that unlike Kohls if you called BRS and said 'hey - I didn't get a $10 coupon - can you just give it to me to make a $10 purchase they would say no. LOL if you were buying $1000 worth - they would probably say yes.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone that got one of the cards with the code on it get more than $10? Looked to me like the only $100 and $500 ones were put into purchases during the livestream.
