150 gallon cycle almost done. Add a few fish?

It would be highly unusual to see ich on a rabbitfish. They possess a serum in their mucous coat which has been proven to kill ich and also shows antibacterial activity. Probably making them one of the most disease resistant fish around. ;)

Oh wow! That's good news. The fish seems completely fine. Eats like a pig. I'll keep monitoring the white spots.

Foxface has been great for 17 days. I placed him in DT and he was so happy. Eating and swimming around. He even pulled some long green hair algae out. Just now he went to the corner and wasn't interested in food for the first time. Seems to be trying to poop but cant release it. Looks like green hair algae coming out???

@Humblefish

@Eggpaul Can't see any poop coming out of him, but he does look very skinny to me.

He's been eating a lot of mysis every day for 16 days. In the picture there is this green algae looking poop coming out.

I circled the poop. Never seen it that way. Hasn't come out today. Probably dead. He was great for 16 days.

I see it now. Could be an intestinal obstruction. If the fish died from that there wasn't much you could do. :(

How would that happen? There is a lot of long GHA in the tank and it was eating a bunch of it.

Just like us, fish can get constipated for various reasons. Usually it works itself out, but if there are exceptional circumstances (i.e. severe or prolonged blockage) it can be fatal.

I'm so sad about this. Maybe I should've waited for the gha to clear first. Didn't know he'd gulp it all up. It was a very small juvenile, but like I said, he was very active and always eating up every piece of mysis I put in.

I'm sorry for your loss. :(
