The center brace broke and lasted until I got them moved.

I found that the rock was very solid when I took it apart, which makes me think the chemical reaction applied pressure to break it.

So I ripped the foots 5 of 7 of them when I took the rocks apart. They not happy. I spent the last month plumbing my old 75 with my old 40 sump together to move them all. Here’s my 75 with the biggest 3.

They not happy. But they will recover. I used 100% new water to reset the chemistry.

I’m going to resurrect the old 210. It’s all cleaned and re sealed. Ready to finish the plumbing when I get the 125 out of its place. The 210 will rest where the 125 is right now, but need to drain the 125 and carry the remnants to the dumpster over Christmas. The current 75 and 40 are only temp housing until the 210 gets running again, I’m close.

Above pics after 24 hours of moving. Had all these guys for years and can’t get rid of them. Cry... looking forward to my 210 running so I can get fish again. Can’t get rid of my gigs.

I found several of these when I destroyed the 125. I know it doesn’t mean much, I don’t have time or means to raise them. I know, doesn’t mean much to many... I’m spinning too many plates lol.

Can't wait to see your new setup ..please provide details on lighting filtration etc as you go :)

Same lights I had. Here’s FTS of what they get the next couple months. Spots make all the difference, for SURE. I see so many with too low light. Lights are not pleasuring to the eyes and aesthetics but at the cost of gig health. T5 might allow a gig to live, but won’t THRIVE the way they COULD. They need HIGH intensity to thrive.
My Flow right now is med-high. Purge is needed to keep from infection, so they get blasted pretty good. I’m emptying 125 tomorrow and will get to add my last mp40 tomorrow to the temp tank tomorrow. Can’t give them too much flow IMO. All rock is 10+ years used. Stressful thing I need to watch, KH started at 12, and I tested this morning and it was 7 cry..... after 48 hours.... got dosers hooked up today. Drip KH is a must. Lol what I do, I do NOT recommend lol. I’m playing with fire, as many would love to roast me... But join me for the journey lol.

My skimmer is set on dry, but I’ve been turning it up every stop I can make because I know a cycle is coming. I have cameras on the tanks and can get there in 10 min if needed.

Here’s 10 days later. With all new water I’m having a heck of a time with KH precipitation. But still doing good considering.

and the resurrected 210 plumbing done. Filled after resealing, water tested, and drained today. Will start filling RO tomorrow and start the jump start this weekend. Hope to move them to their old home in about a month. Fingers crossed.

My memory on the lights was ? par 38 5k spots from HD ??
Yes. Correct, I’m impressed you remembered, and honored that I’ve been singled out lol. My general tank lights are reffledlight.com sirius model led light. Par output is twice ecotechs radians. I’m also using Home Depot 5k 120 watt equivalent led spots with simple clamp on sockets. Since, menards has 250 watt equivalent led daylight bulbs I’ve been changing them out, at $20 a bulb. Lighting is bright. Filtration is “KISS” simple skimmer and that’s it. I use a filter sock once in a while, initially to pull out floaters, but once it’s humming along, skimmer only no sock.

I just started filling the 210 with RO today. Hoping to have new salt water in it by next weekend. My girls want me to make the tank like my last house, sand and fish. I gots to make them happy, right???? Lol.

Were these just hanging around the tank, or did you remove them from the gigs?

There were several I found. They all were attached on the tips of the big ones and I sucked them off. I have aptasia in the tank and they too get stuck on the tents, but they look different. Vastly different. I don’t have the means to raise them in a nursery tank. That’s what they need, a whole other level of care. Environment is everything. Last year I also realized I have ball anemones in here. Ball anemones are closer to them at a small size but still different. Ball nems and aptasia are robust, tiny gigs are not.

I would love to try my hand at raising them if I had the opportunity to get my hands on some of them! I imagine that they probably wouldn’t survive shipment though
