2.6G Sexy Ricordia Build

tank: fluval spec III 2.6g.
light: stock, possibly upgrade to a kessil a160we?
filtration: purigen, chemi-pure, and matrix.
livestock: 3 sexy shrimp and ricordia.
start date: 11/29/15

cycling! used rock and sand from other tanks to cycle, going to get rock for it this week.

Yeah its alright. I upgraded the return pump to a 150gph and the flow is.......flowing lol. Only thing I hate is that the water evaporates quick.

Ricordia gardens were super popular when I had just gotten into the hobbyand I still love them! I can't wait to see the progress on this!

alright sweet, I was thinking about that as well but then mushrooms need barely anything so I guess we'll see how they do!

I needed a new tank fix (this is my fourth), and I figured a sexy shrimp and ricordia pico would be very cool but easy on the wallet!

agreed, but it was one of the smallest dimmable lights i could think of. might just put a par38 in the lamp that's directly next to the tank and have it about a foot and a half above the tank. we'll see how the ricordia responds to the stock light.

have any preferences for the Ricordia variants in the tank?

Personally I think a nice mix would be nice, would look awesome against that black sand.

You could try those maxspec celestial I got for my tank, so far it seems my corals are happy with it. It has an an auto mode that goes from 0% to 100% within 30min and back down from 100 to 0 to mimic dusk/dawn effect, or you can program it manually. It has 4 separate channels for you to play with and choose the color combination you like

not really, I just want one of every single color combination. I used to have a really cool tri color, green rim, orange face, blue mouth.

I definitely want one of those again. I have a plain orange one ready to go in from my other tank, and three more at a friends house waiting.
