I did the same thing!!! the search option in the upper right was my best guide getting back into the hobby. even doing a google search on an issue it seemed to bring me here for my answer. so, i guess experienced advice is very valuable.

Real dead coral skeletons. I got them from a place in Florida. Richards seashells.
Oh nice! Could I collect coral skeletons when I go to Florida? I see them everywhere in shell stores and on the beach. I want to naturalize a NSA for my scale because it gives good benefits to everything in the tank
Thanks for the suggestion. Only the white skeletons will have grafts on them. The blue and red pipe organ will stay natural dead skeletons.
If they're in stores yes, on the beach I don't know. You'd have to check.
I’d boil them and dip in h2o2 water
I used some Blue Ridge skeletons in my first tank and made the mistake of putting them in there at the beginning. They got stained by algae during the Uglies stage so I took them out and bleached them back to their pretty blue color. Now they’re on my shelf next to one of my nanos. They looked so pretty in my tank though. I miss them in there!
@Ricksreeefs they’ll turn all sorts of pretty colors too... likely matching the zoas.
Never boil rocks, don't think you should boil the skeletons either.

Have this rock too in both my tanks and I love it! Sry for the crap filter idk I didn’t have one and I didn’t want to buy one so I was just looking around and out some lens for my lil bros camera lol the waters also cloudy bc I was changing stuff in the back chambers
