240 gallon build

Alright!!!! Good to meet you today. Sorry we didn't get to chat much.
Likewise, great to put some faces to names and hang for a bit, sorry I had to run out of there so quick.

Me Too, I'll text you after i talk to Mike so you will be all set.
Bill
Thanks Bill, appreciate you helping me out!

Hopefully by next meeting I'll have more than a crawlspace to show for ha!

BTW, if you've not decided on a tank yet, I'd give the Marine Land deep dimensions tanks a look. They have a 250g and a 300g and they have starphire. :)

Just a thought!

Brandon, I actually love those tanks especially with the starphire! So much you can do with that much depth and height. For some reason, ever since I started keeping tanks I have wanted an 8 footer and I am finally in a space that will work. Plus I got the sign off from the boss so I have to strike while I can ha! Maybe I can work on getting both?

Great tanks though, appreciate the thought!

In that case, I wish they had a 425g 8ft tank. Haha!

Looks like I found myself a tank down in Chattanooga! Hoping to pick it up this weekend. Comes with a steel stand and looks like it's reinforced to the Nth degree. Anyone know where to get the suction grips so I can load that bad boy? Also, if anyone is bored this weekend, I may need some help unloading it. Pizza and beer to be provided ha!

The club has suction cups. We have a page dedicated to our equipment.
If I were here this weekend I'd definitely help but I'll be out of town.

Best of luck. I'm glad you found a tank at a good price. Gives you more money to spend on good equipment !!!!

Did you go see the tank?

Oh awesome, I will have to see what I can do to get a hold of those then! I unfortunately have only seen pics since its way down south. I put a deposit down and the guy said it was in good shape, no scratches and the silicone looked great. I figure if it's really terrible when I get there, I can always walk away.

Good point. What is he doing with the livestock?

He has it full of guppies and a few FW angels, but apparently has about 4-5 smaller tanks. Got tired of keeping up with this one. Bummer since I'll have to deal with possibly drilling or HOB overflow, but will cross that bridge later. I need to figure out stand/canopy and sump layout first ha!

I'm sure it's right in front of me, but where is the thread/contact info for club gear use?

Well you're a paid member you just haven't been knighted yet. Lol. You should have access soon.

Here's the tank I'm going to check out this weekend. Should I see if he will throw in the ducks??

I wouldn't take it without the ducks, personally. :D
