240 gallon build

And it looks someone knocked some down too lol
They were all cheap dates considering it was bud light haha!

Nice looking setup! Stand looks great.
Thanks Rick, I feel like it's finally starting to come together. Hopefully get the plumbing knocked out this week and get some water in this thing!

Finally got to the fun parts

My wife walked in and asked how much meth that thing makes haha!

You post the photo us all "holding down" your tank. Lol

Things look great. Got that skimmer running in a vinegar bath yet?

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the plumbing progress.

Can't say thanks enough to these guys for all the help getting the tank moved along with some last minute stand alterations haha!

Now it's time to get to work! Apologies in advance for all the rookie questions that are bound to come up.
Sweet, That stand looks great and this will be a first class set up when finished, If there is such a thing. Looking forward to seeing more progress and getting it wet.

Haha, that was my favorite action shot! I haven't put it in vingear, I just didn't think it would pull that much skimmate  Sorry, hopefully cleaning it up this morning. Unfortunately, we got a call from some family that are coming through town and wanted to come hang out today so the plumbing will be delayed until tomorrow at least. I did take Dowtish's advice and rinsed some more sand and huffed pvc cement, so that will at least make hanging more fun ha!

Thanks kindly! I agree, not sure if finished will ever been in question. But, I do finally feel like I'm getting started rather than just accumulating stuff haha.

That skimmer is sick, man! We need to find a day this week to get you plumbed up. :)

Looks great so far, great skimmer. Looking forward to watching the progression.

Unfortunately not much to report. Thinking of hitting up Lowes and having a plumbing party tonight. That's what all the cool kids do on Friday nights right?

On another note, I have been thinking a lot about my stocking list/plan and I would really like to get a nice show specimen to utilize the tank size. I'm debating between Balaenoptera musculus and Rhincodon typus, what do you all think?

Someone down in Georgia, I think in Atlanta who did the Rhincondon typus. They did 4 originally, but I think only 3 survived.

The Balaenoptera musculus looks awesome, but I don't think anyone's done those yet, Georgia or otherwise.
