Why spend hundreds of dollars for lights and an acrylic box? DIY ATS. Lights been on 24 hours 3 days so far.

So tanks running great so far. Been a few weeks. Today I got a 40 watt classic aqua uv for $170. I need to buy a bulb. Tested nutrients phosphates are 0 nitrates 1.8. Need cuc bad got a couple fighting conches but not moving still.

Lookin good. Ive never run uv but heard good things. I just throw some carbon in sump every couple weeks

Uv does more than that. Uv depending on flow can manage parasites and when faster flowed can take care of algae like diatom outbreaks.
