Is Marine Pure the stuff that leaches aluminum or something like that into the water? I thought I had read something about that. I'll see if I can find the thread. Maybe I'm thinking of something else
This always seems to be a big concern for people. I believe the actual issue was that people bought generic versions which did leach aluminum/aluminium and then people figured they all did it. I've had these in my tank for about 8 years and have never had any issues at all. Have talked to many other reefers that give the same testimonial.

I’ve ordered 200lbs of reef saver so no worries on the marine pure idea. Now just have to aquascape. I have surgery tmrw on my knee. Second one from the military on the same knee. I’ll have plenty of time to master this rock work. Expect some epic gravity defying pieces.

I just started a negative space aquascape for my tank but I'm using wet cured rock. I'll be interested to see how yours comes along. Hoping to replace the 2 boulders and frag rack in my tank.

You can check it out here on the very last page of this thread. It isn't done. And it's 1 piece of 3 I plan on doing...

So got the rock in and I like the first scape 3 islands the big island being closest to the inlets and overflow. 2 smaller islands to isolate certain stinging varieties of coral and maybe make a large island with one type of coral who knows. Let me know what you think the basset pup wasn’t too impressed.

Bigger is better - Way to go

Taking shape slowly but surely had to let the mortar really set before I made the move downstairs to the tank but the centerpiece of the tank is in. I’ll make little islands of rock around it for corals who don’t play nice with others. But the piece you see right now will hold most of the SPS.

Keep it coming. Looking crazy good! Btw, rodi fill up yet? Hahhahaha
I stopped filling it up when we had that bad winter storm a while back cause all my fittings/bulkheads got delayed. But tmrw should be final pluming, hook up the 200GPD and let it go!

Rock work done. Got about 8” till the tanks full and another 100g to put in the sump. Hopefully running with some blue green reef chromis by Wednesday.

Looking good.

Thanks try to make pride rock all sps and the rock structure in front I’ll have SPS on the tip tops and LPS and softies on the bottom.
That's a neat idea. I like it.
