I have four scopas tangs one of which is a yellow / xanthic, the yellow has spawned with the large male. :)

I like the idea of a tank full of scopas (blame @najer for that; I fell in love with his scopas lol), but I have absolutely NO experience with tangs. I think there are a few different variations in color, if you can find them.

They change colour depending on mood as well, the yellow shows a lot of white when in a good mood and can go nearly scopas brown when angry or agitated.
The large male can go nearly yellow when in a good mood to nearly black when angry or agitated and can switch the gold eye colour on at will. ;)

I have a juvenile tomini thats super peaceful and has bonded with a red coris wrasse in one tank. Never leave eachother side.
I have a brown powder thats absolutely nuts and runs another tank. Cant do anything on his side without permission. Like flipping and eating snails too

I am a fan of Desjardini Salfin Tangs, Dussumieri Tangs and Half Black Mimic Tangs

My Des and Dus are under 4” right now. Cannot wait until the Dus gets full adult colors. Hints of metallic blue are starting to show up. Half blacks are super peaceful, but hold their own with no issues. My half black is in with 5 yellows and a few tried to mess with it once, and now they all leave it alone. The Des lives I. The 7 foot frag tank with a chocolate mimic, Atlantic blue, some clowns and a jawfish. Very sweet fish and will come sit in you hand to eat nori in your palm.

If you're doing a school of one tang species it would be really cool and unique to do mimic tangs (pyroferus). They have amazing color as juveniles and as adults their pattern is striking. Mine is the least aggressive tang in my tank.

Doing good stitches out and walk-in pretty good. 2 weeks since surgery PT 3 times a week.
My vote is a few more purples then whatever else you like. Btw I don’t think yellows will be ridiculously priced forever. The tank and scape look great. I showed my family your puppy, and they think he’s the cutest. Hows the knee?

Mimics would be pretty cool I think any tang that you could get a chance to aquaculture you should. If you don’t want to try raising them just record tank parameters so someone else would have a possibility to recreate and possibly have success.
So many choices idk what tanks to pick!

First in my chromies!
Modified filtration. Top is pads middle is rock and bottom are marine pure balls. 2” holes connect each chamber and totally got rid of my micro bubble problem.
Thanks for everyone following!!

Neat idea

So new development on the tang decision.
I got a good price on yellows so I’m goin to do

5 yellow tang
3 scopas
3 purple

what are your thoughts?
All odd numbers. Total is odd, I say do it, but I am an enabler. I added 9 yellows a few years ago all at once and still have 9 yellows lol.
