Another update! Today i picked up a Tunze 9004 DOC skimmer got it installed and working, lets see how she does! Also i picked up a Icecap 3k Gyre, and wow what a diff!!!!!! I cant set it over 40%, have it set on 30% random mode. Though the Gyre is a bit loud i suspect it will quite down after break in. Will post some update pics later

Hope you enjoy the skimmer it has worked great for me. One thing I did was take out the clear plastic peice at the top of the overflow and that helped big time with room. With it on the skimmer cup is pretty tight and can be a pain to get it off. Also would like to know after you have had the gyre for a while your review for it. I have 2 mp10s in my nuvo40 and thought about changing them to a gyre.

Little update! I was battling high PH before, once i got the skimmer that has changed and is getting back to normal. The 2 headed purple hammer started to melt for some reason so i tossed it out. other then that everything is going well!!

So far i am very happy with the skimmer, I am using ReefCrystals it is cheap and good!

Ok guys here is an update! The tank is now 4 months old, everything is looking good and stable have had no issues besides equipment.... my icecap gyre broke one side does not work and i got that thing in may sooooo yah, time to buy a maxspect gyre the real thing....... Any ways i have been running a modified AB+ setting on the Radion G4 with great success, at 60%. so lets do a stock list for corals .

So the Icecap gyre 3k is gone and i upgraded to a Maxspect gyre xf230 and wow what a difference!!!!! It is smaller and for sure made much better, picked up a Hanna ALK checker today and wow lol soooooooo easy to use and soooooooooo much faster.

Love it, man. How long are you planning on keeping the Yellow Tang in there? I've been trying to decide whether or not I could get away with one of those or a Flame Angel.

I have been feeding Reefroids once a week, spot and broadcast feeding the day before i do my weekly water change. At this point i am dosing 10ml of DKH and 5ml of CAL 2part that i get from my LFS, i do not dose Mag since i do a weekly 5 gallon WC (68% monthly total). At this point i will not be getting any more frags for about a month or so just so i can get a hang of this tanks consumption rates.

Todays update, so far so good everything is growing well and thriving. I however am running into an issue with my nitrates dropping too low, so we shall see how i will tackle that. At this point i am also fighting some kind of brown algae that looks like Diotoms but is stringy......., not sure what it is and why i have it. I have checked my RODI, i replaced my filters about 3 weeks ago TDS 000. Besides the Algae everything i on point, now i am trying to decide whether to buy a nano cal reactor or go with an Apex DOS.
