90 gal update finally!

For schooling I would go for anthias. I've read may threads stating that chromis may off one another or pair up and beat up the other. And then there are cases where they actually do well and school.

So true! I bought 12 then day by day one came up missing... i wanted 12 but was down to 7... went and bought 5 more. same thing happened again - back to 7. went to lfs for something else and he had 3 chromis heft and offered them for cheap so i got them. lol, 3 days later i was back to 7! turns out they were happy with the #7 and have been happy since. The reason the off each other is due to tank size and in habitants so they run population control on their own kind.

well thank you! now im ready to add something else.. like getting a new tattoo when you get one you want another and another and another.

Looking good man. What else are you planning on putting in your tank?

Fish list includes: two clowns, yellow tang, wrasse(not sure what kind yet), three chromis, anthias, and a diamond goby!
Might have a few cleaner shrimp in there too

Sounds like a good list :-) I have a cleaner wrasse for my tangs. He does a great job at keeping my fish free of parasites. I understand that 6 lines wrasses are great too at keeping your tank in good shape for flatworms and such. This fish I'll be adding soon myself.

6 line wrasses are notorious for being very mean. I put them in the same category as a damsel. A melenurus wrasse is a much better choice.

That is good to know, I didn't know that :) As it is I need to find a new home for my coral beauty... He never bothered anything then recently I believe he killed my clam... then yesterday he nipped at the frogspawn then today the torch. I've been trying to catch him and put him in the qt untill I can find him a new home.

Melenurus wrasses will not eat other fish. They will eat small snails and small shrimp.

Sixline wrasses are terrors don't get one lol. My melanurus doesn't even bother shrimp or snails. I have peppermint shrimp in my tank. They are a great wrasse. I would also look up flasher wrasses they are very nice looking

lol thank you... i certainly don't need any more terrors in the tank :) Obviously everyone who has had them seems to feel the same... so no 6 line for me. Will a 125g support him when he gets full grown? i understand they get to be about 6".

I believe i like the melanurus the most out of all the wrasse's i have looked at so far. as of now thats whats being added to the list!

How about a Divided leopard wrasse, Macropharyngodon bipartitus... Stunning fish, don't know much about them.
