90 gallon Shallow

Alright, for all the plumbing experts.. I got a favor,, I know how to plumb my tank and such.

I am just wondering how I can plumb in my 2 BRS single reactors into my return line. Like I'm not sure what all parts I need to buy, and stuff to make the PVC pipes connect to the push fittings from the reactors.

Why do u want them to be in line with ur return.?
If ur looking to filter more of the water I would consider:
Taking the pump that would feed the reactor and putting the pump in ur return chamber and the clean water coming out put it feeding back into ur filter sock.
That way ur taking water that's been filtered and sending it back thought one more time before going up...also for the math part

Say ur return pump is 600gph. That means the sump has 600gph going thought it. But if u do what I just said and the feed pump is 250 ur sump is filtering 850 gph.

I did this with my old tank and loved it, just no space to do it this time. I have no room under my tank.
I know this isn't what u asked for but it's an option if u can't find the parts to do what u want...
Good luck

I'm curious as to what kind of paint I should use to paint the inside of my stand?

I built a similar stand and used semi-gloss latex. It's been holding up fine, but I don't leave water pooled on it.

You can kinda see the paint here. Seam in the back left is 'cause I painted the calk before it fully cured.

do you think I even need the 2 x 4 going down the middle of the stand from top to bottom? I dont have it screwed in yet, I ran out of Corner braces.

Side note, My tank is finished already.. Talk about a quick turnaround for a custom tank. It was sent to a distributor, and now I'm just waiting for my LFS to get it in there possession so I can get it!

I would say maybe. Better to over-engineer it than under-build and have a problem right? I bet it will be fine, heck the LFS stands are like 1x4s and MDF for 90 gallon tanks. If you have any hint of worry, leave the brace!

I got the 2 x 4's and 6' painted with kilz premium. I started skinning the stand. I used 1/2" Oak.. I got the top put on, the sides, and the back will have some wood on it, but also open, to help with humidity and such in the sump. I got a part cut out on the top where my tank sits for the overflow. This stand is going to be heavy and a pain in the butt to move!!!. I'm still not sure what color to Stain the stand. I am thinking a dark brown or Cherry.

I think I'm going to do 1, possibly 2 more coats of the stain, and then call it good. The more I look at this, the more I'm satisfied.

So my tank has arrive at the LFS, and they were nice enough to send me some pictures of the tank, but for some reason, I can't forward them to my email to put on here. I am not sure when I am going to be able to get the tank. I have a 1 hr drive there and back.

I am going to Menards tomorrow to buy pre-made doors to fit the stand. I attempted to make some, and needless to say, It looks like work of my 2 yr old! LOL I was attempting shaker style doors. That, and my gf was paranoid, I was going to lose fingers! haha

I am hoping to have this thing setup an running by the middle of next week.. Stilll deciding whether or not I wanna paint the back of the tank or not. Need to mount my doors, and put another clear coat on it, an it will be ready to go!

My loving gf went and picked up the tank for me today, as I had no idea when I would be avialable to make the drive!. So great to have a significant other that loves the hobby!

I wish I had gone with my overflow in the middle of the back wall like yours. Now I'm having plumbing issues.

I prefer to have the back of the tank drilled with an Inky box, buy my gf shot that down, she didnt want the tank sticking off of the wall. SO I opted for the center back overflow.

I couldn't be happier with the tank. It is solid. I honestly can't tell a difference between this tank and my Deep Sea Aquatics tank. I know that the guy from PA used to work for DSA, but there the same tank still!

Sorry, I guess its not actually called that. There is a guy around my area that makes the stuff like glass-holes, and people here call them inky box.
