Yep. IME it’s been the result of detritus settling in the coral. You usually see it in the bowl area where it settles for a while.Here is the white light photo

With clean water, good light and flow, mine have filled in the holes in time, with no deleterious effects to the coral overall.
Just knocked out a cyano bloom in this tank about a month ago - that sounds related - could it be?Thanks! I have lots to learn!
Awesome thanksIt's normal. Soon you'll have a dozen or more toadstools. Mine did that a year ago and now I have them all over my tank.
