Other then manual removal no. We are on vacation right now and the sitter could only stop once a day so I don't want to try dosing until we get back. It did take longer then I expected for it to start coming back on the sand though, but I expect it to look like crap when we get back. I have the skimmer off while we are gone to prevent any possible catastrophic overflows, so I know I will have some work to do when we are back home.

I have an update. The algae I have dubbed "the mystery algae" is nearly gone, yay
unfortunately cyano has taken its place at the same rate it was disappearing, but that is fine by me. Cyano is no mystery for any of us and I would much rather battle that then the unknown! I have been dosing h2o2 since I got back from the last trip and we are leaving again for a few days tomorrow, but I gave the house sitter instructions to continue dosing while we are away. Maybe I will come back to a cyano free tank, wouldn't that be great
