About to give up

ASSUMING NOTHING IS BROKEN....

A basic Eshops overflow box (or any similar "U-tube" design based on 1" plumbing) is going to be good for a max of 600 GPH and it will set the water level at the level where you have it's weir set.

So once you get it running quietly, you can adjust that weir level to your liking. The sump water level will vary some based on your adjustment.

This may require a smaller pump if you have no way to dial this one back. If this turns out to be the issue, then you'd really prefer to have a smaller pump anyway.

What size tank and what pump/model do you have?
 
So by adding to gate valves I can increase the level of the water in the display? How can I not do that with a D.C. Pump?

It would be very unusual, but you might be able to make it work.

Any chance you have a 1" piece of PVC you can cut 1" shorter than the one for your emergency overflow?
 
Yes I do. I've done so many manipulations with the pvc it's so exhausting but yes I do. What should be my order. I have two open pipes then the drain plumbed to the far left
 
I don't think it's possible to fix this with just playing with the pvc in the overflow. You need the gate valve in order to precisely tune the flow through the drain. It isn't just about the return pump, wave makers in the tank will also slosh water into the overflow weir in varying amounts and frequency.

Just saw your pictures, not sure why they didn't show up before.

I see 2 problems. First, your center drain should be a little higher. This will be your partial drain. Second, you will want a tube in the hole in the middle drain to prevent water from getting into it. This tube/hose needs to extend over the top of the emergency drain.
 
I've watched other videos of this sump and I've never seen any lines like this. Idk what you're even referring too tbh
 
How many gate valves do I need?
 
When you get that middle drain raised another 1"-2" and the tube installed you will want to start your DC pump at its minimum speed. Increase flow until the lowest drain goes full siphon. Then allow it to just start trickling into the middle drain.
Not sure if you will get constant enough flow with your DC pump but it is worth a try.

If the top of the "U" is above the top of the emergency drain, it isn't needed. In this pic, it isn't actually needed for just that reason.

Drain the tank, move it, and do it right.

Not to be a jerk, but if you can't spend the time to plumb your tank correctly, this REALLY isn't the right hobby for you.
 
Ehh I beg to differ. Been working on the build for 3 months and did everything I thought was correct. Please just don't comment anymore, don't need your help
