Looks great so far!

That will look sweet!

Gorgeous. I've been contemplating a 60x30x16 peninsula for some time. Love your tank building skills. I've seen waterjet cut steel and stainless, the edges are flawless. Didn't even realize they did waterjet cuts on glass. Nice stuff :)

Thank you !!!

The result on waterjet cut seems great so far !!! tried to tempered it but the guys at the glass tempering factory rejected the project based on two factors that i didn't knew...

To be able to temper it the edges MUST be polished, and the waterjet result is more like sand/grind finish... and the polishing of those edges by hand would be way to labor & time consuming, thus, expensive... and second, the holes need to be open ended, like opening a slot between the two holes... to resist the expansion when heated...

Still without it being tempered I expect it to hold without issue...

Provided your joints are clean, and the silicone is allowed to fully cure, I'd bet on it holding. That top frame, being a solid cut out sheet, has got to be far stronger than most of the plastic frames commercial tanks use.

I like the under-sump water basin, too. My stand is epoxied, and designed to hold about 30 gallons before any would get out onto the floor. Since the whole system is about 75 gallons, I've never been quite happy with that, but it does give me a little security. A $4 battery powered water alarm from Ebay gives me a little more.

Enjoy :)

Some progress on the sump... still some details left, some holes for returns, sensors etc... hope to finish it this week !

The sump with the white vinyl background and letting the silicone for the bubble trap cure...

Two holes for return on the left part

One hole in the center back for skimmer outlet

Another hole in the right part for feeding the skimmer
