A couple of iphone photos (sorry about the quality) of one of my acros, one from may 9th and another one from yesterday may 22nd...

13 days of color change and a little growth...

Just rearranged the lights... insteqd of having them comming from the center I took them to the sides so the side view is well lot instead of full of shadows...

I measured PAR after that and it is 100 at the bottom, all acros receive 200-380

I guess I could use more light, maybe a t5 fixture on the middle? More leds of the same kind? Some par38 spots to the acro zones?

What would you do?

I would try T5s in the middle! ;)

The thing that makes me hesitate about T5 is that they normally go mear the water surface... in this case they would need to go higher or they will be in the way of the leds... is it ok to have them higher ?

I did think about that, how high off the water are the slightly higher inside edges are the led panels?
I have a hybrid and it is about 8 inches off the water.

Put the leds and t5 down to do not block each other and play with % on the leds

That's another option...

I like having that space for accesibility but once everything is set there is less need to be messing with the tank...

15"

I could lower them to 10" and still have great accesibility...

I put two reef tanks in my basement walls so you can see three sides of each tank very attractive especially at night you love the ease if you have a laundry tub behind where your tank is I have one I mix all my water and make all my Rodi water you will love this and your friends and family will be ecstatic very cool be proud of the hobby that you have it takes time and patience I've been in it for 17 years and I learn something new almost every day always Google information given some people on here not informed or getting wrong facts so enjoy your new basement and your tanks and I'm sure you know the number one rule isolation tank mandatory isolate all new inhabitants for at least 10 days to see if they have disease or paths then you can knowingly put that Coral in your tank and no it's not going to kill everything I have seen people buy Coral right from the store put it in the tank and two days later everything's dead because they didn't want to isolate it for 10 days

I want to buy a dimable T5 lamp, saw ATI and Giesemann... any other brand you could recommend?

Meanwhile I installed a LED lamp I made some time ago.

The PAR measurements improved but not too much, but the looks improved greatly, better colors and less shadows.

The lamp has 81 LEDs divided in 9 channels, 4 different tupes of blue, 3 different types of UV, 2 types of white, 3 types of red and lime.

Will keep looking for a dimmable T5, either standalone or controllable with Neptune Apex... any suggestion is welcome !!

What is PAR at bottom now?

I ordered a giesemann hybrid on Sunday, I recon you should measure the gap led module to led module, maybe sneak the 6 tube in there! ;)
