I have to order the stuff for my DIY LED fixture next week, I wont be using the crappy PC bulb, thats just silly :). Lots more documentation to come.

That is a sweet little tank! LOL!

since its nearly impossible to somehow make a overflow or drill this tank (due to lack of space) i've decided to come up will a super sweet aquascape that will cover up equipment ie. heater(if needed, not sure yet if led's will make enough heat, unlikely) and the smaller koralia powerhead for flow.

There used to be a little heater, flat pad style on the one that was on the desk at RP, any idea where that went?

Looks nice! What paint did you use? I'm looking to paint the back of mine too. :D

Awesome!! Can't wait to see your progress!!

Ok guys quick update, with the help of my good friend Andy (schminksbro) of the Blue Glow, we came up with the awesome idea for an aquascape. We decided with my lack of space my best bet would be to actually make the back wall the aquascape. Also I would utilize the structure as a way to hide equipment such as the powerhead.

So again thanks to Andy for using his reef saw to turn this...

now my next step was to use black silicone to stick the rocks to the back of the walls,as you know I painted the back wall black so it will easily blend in. I also needed some additional design help so I hired my girlfriend to help place rocks and tell me what looks best. :)

this is what we came up with..

as usual feel free to comment with ideas and critisizms and what not!

THat saw is WAY cool isn't it?

I think you are off to a great start, not sure about the flat top rock on the top right though. I am sure you have plans for it.

That looks awesome. I'm gonna steal your idea when I build my next tank.

you cant, i've had the idea trademarked..or is it copyright protected? lol goodluck, its a unique approach to a small tank thats for sure :)

anyway, the tank is on its way to a cycle. got water in it lastnight as well so im sure by mid june it will be more than ready to add some smokin corals.

Nice progress and very creative use of space with your aquascaping.
