another copyright seller using my pics to sell stuff

I almost bought the dendros and the chalices from that guy. The only reason I didn't is that I was traveling all day, glad I didn't. He wanted paypal though, doesn't that give the buyer som sort of insurance as to what they are buying?

As long as he can prove he sent you something, your pretty much screwed in paypals eyes..

Not true. I got money back through paypal in an ebay auction when the coral I got was DOA. I took pics still in box and sent them first to the seller (never would respond) and when nothing was done I sent them to paypal and got my money back within a few weeks. Work paypal as though they work for you and they will protect you. I have been with paypal for several years and had more than a few instances where I was getting ripped and paypal has always gotten my money back. Never have I taken a loss though them and now even by paypal credit card, I only buy through paypal whether on ebay or a vendor, local or online.
I can always expect to talk to someone at paypal on the phone 24hrs a day and if I have a problem it usually gets taken care of if not immediatly within a couple weeks.
You do have to make a case. Emails, adds, PMs, all of it you have to keep and send to paypal. I cna attest first hand, they do look out for their customers. That's what keeps them in business.

I just finished reading the original thread at RC. Figured I'd come over here to read more about it...lol. What gets me is GEO. He closes the thread by warning EVERYONE who commented and giving them their "Final Warning." Then goes on to say that if you post something "even slightly off topic...." Blah Blah Blah. What shoulda been said was "Sorry it took us mods so long to respond to this copyright infringement, we'll now ban the photo thief scammer for life!!!"

OMG!!! I was checking out some other threads on RC, by that poster. Here's one, dealing with the topic of one of our members pics being used on Ebay, to sell the Purple Hornets. The Pic Thief has the kahonas to post a reply about it and then turns around and does the exact same thing a few days later!!!

Can't believe people these days. I would watermark my pics, but I can't take any good ones that someone would steal, lol.

About two years ago I was at a phtography show and saw a photo of mine framed and in the show with someone elses name on it. I went to the office and printed it out along with a couple I had never posted before from the same time and got him busted. Talk about shame. :(

What I do, is that i watermark most of my pictures and also remove from photobucket after a sale or re-arrange in a different folder in photobucket. This is unfortunate, but if the person recognized me in the posting that is my picture, I typiically didnt mind.
