it matters because thew person selling the coral is not being honest with the buyers thats why how would u feel if u bought something from some one based on the picture they were providing and its not what they really had im sure you would be ticked

I take it as a compliment when someone wants to use my pictures. I guess I could understand, but really, does it matter? Isn't it our job to ask for pictures of the exact piece we are buying as consumers? If not, I think thats on the buyer.

Most certainly would. Glad you put your foot down. Too many pple getting taken these days, not only in buying corals but all aspects of life and it is getting ridiculous what some pple will stoop to for the $.

I would have reacted the same way. If he was able to get that pic, he also could have taken a moment and sent a message to the person who took it and ask it if was ok to use it.

Also the post says " Pictures are of the mother colonies these frags have come from over the past year." As we all know this is not true because ricordianut said he has not sold a frag to the OP. This would be like someone advertising a WYSIWYG frag only for it to be something completely different.

This happened to me and a few others by a well known person at MACNA in Chicago....This person is a well known fish person with affinity for Lionfish....Needless to say he was busted in public in the middle of his speech showing slides fish he claimed he had in his tanks at home. Which wasn't the case.....Needless to say he is no longer a member of RC as an expert.

If this guy didn't buy a frag from Ricordia nut, then on top of bad form for posting his pic, he is a crook then. I could be a bit more understanding if the guy was selling watermelon lineaged back to Ricordianut, but I guess not.

He's a scam artist indeed. Why would you edit the pic like that?? I would understand using someones pic (happens all the time) but if you mirror it and do major edit like he did then you are a scam artist.
