I find it hard to understand those who defend ripped-off technology or intellectual property because it saved them a few bucks. I'm not picking on Jebao in particular, because the practice is rampant in Chinese business and manufacturing. We don't see them so much in the USA because of tight import rules and patent laws, but products like Chinese-made counterfeit iPhones or designer handbags are for sale everywhere in Asia for pennies on the dollar. It's not a big secret, either. Everyone knows what the whole scene is about, but most people choose not to support it.
As for Jebao, I've not yet seen a Jebao product that is an original idea. I'm not even sure they have an R&D department in the company. Every Jebao product I've seen is a ripoff of somebody else's legitimate product. Often there are some minor cosmetic changes to help fool the eye, but fact is that any Jebao product is pretty much just a ripped off, cheapened, dumbed-down version of somebody else's successful product. Personally, I would not support them, even if the original, genuine product is much more expensive.
