Any coral suggestions for 20 gallon?

Hello everybody! I'm new to reef tanks (transferring over from a LOT of freshwater) and I was wondering if anyone would have some easier soft corals for a 20 gallon that I'm setting up. I've always been in love with soft corals like torch corals and am PLANNING a tank based mainly them.

Hmmmm reds...... You could possibly find some gorgonians with simialr colors you are searching for (or close to) and they provide some really amazing movement. Can easily get red out of zoanthids though!

As for a host for the clowns, the clowns will pick probably the weirdest coral or spot to be their host, but mine love the long polyp toadstool within my system!

They are Spotcinctus Clownfish! My first time having this species of clown, and man I LOVE THEM! Female can be a real brute some days tho...

That's great to hear! Also, can you propagate them light plants so you can have more of them? Also, I was trying to find a way to cut corals but couldn't really find an article. Could you explain to me how that could work? Or send a link?

Truly depends on what you are fragging! Softies can be as easy as a razorblade or a dedicated pair of scissors!

Actually I just looked it up, they are a thing (if that's what you were implying). Their Latin name is Euphyllia glabrescens, and they look like this:



Also, would hammer corals be good in my tank, especially as a beginner?

no implication. torches/euphyllia are not soft corals. they are a large polyp stony coral.

Well, I'm kind of looking for anything like that. I really just like corals that sway more and seem softer.
