Anyone else throw money away recently?

Hmm where do I start … lol most recent was new Midas blenny , I loved him so. I don’t run a top on my tank and found him carpet surfing , kinda like shooting yourself in the foot lol

I also love my midas blenny, but he is the biggest jerk in my tank. Also part of the reason i love him

I recently purchased a number of pieces from some website that advertises here, almost nothing that came looks like what they advertised, one piece came damaged and died within a day. There are only 3 pieces that I like the rest I couldn't care less about.
This might be the last time I buy from a website.
I have had great luck buying from reefers here and I will continue to buy from them but I think I'm done with websites/businesses.
I recently started to map out local shops, I think that road trips are in my immediate future.

In the last couple months I’ve lost nearly all my LPS. I was out of town a bunch and had a bunch of alk swings, a rusty magnet, and my GF was dosing about 6x as much chaetogro as she was supposed to (for a little over a month). Anyway, lost all my acans, a scoly, a lobo, a trachy, frogspawn, torch, candy cane, chalice, and probably a few others I’m forgetting. What’s weird is that all my soft corals, anemones, and bubble coral, alveoporas, some of my blastos, and turbinaria all look great. Just added a new Duncan like two weeks ago and so far it’s doing great, so hoping everything is back to normal, but I lost well over $1000 worth of corals.

I was gonna buy one, literally had it in my amazon cart. Good to know!

I've had it for 6 weeks and yet to get a print off of it. The stock parts that come with it are crap. You have to replace nearly everything but the motors, gantry, and mainboard before it will do much of anything. Oh and the bed you print on is generally severely warped from the factory.

Ender 3 is definitely finicky. I actually like mine, but I have thrown a lot of money at it while figuring how to get it to work consistently. TBH, most of the issue were user error. There quite a learning curve to it for me.

I've also had the learning curve issue, but the vast majority of it is finding out that the parts from the factory are cheap crap that don't usually work well. Every time I've run into an issue so far it's been because some part was warped, broken from the factory, or simply didn't work.

Yup $130 for two wrasses that died within 3 days. You throw more money down the drain in this hobby than any other.
My boating and fishing isn’t this bad. I don’t mind what boat stands for now.

Yup. Bought some gorgonians last week, my former gold spot rabbitfish was apparently hungry. Gorgs and rabbitfish are gone now.
