Anyone have an "anemone island"?

I'm looking to add an anemone to my 90g...as my clownfish are beating up my frogspawn and feel like the anemone would be better suited for them.

Would involve rearranging rock...but has anyone had luck keeping anemone's confined to a seperate rock or small island...most likely towards the bottom of the tank?

I just worry it will walk if I put it on the main rock work and sting all my sps.

BTAs are suceptible to move, but not all anemones are as apt to be mobile. What kind of clownfish? Perhaps these folks have ideas on anemones that are least likely to move

I guess what I'm asking is there any tips to helping them find a spot they like where you put them. Like if I made a small island with 1 or 2 holes for them to set their foot in...would that help?

I do- I have 5 nems on a 20lb piece of rock towards one side of my tank. They tend to move on the rock, as it has places where there is more light and it also has caves. If I were you, I would use a rock that has diverse places for a nem to attack and move to

Yep, I did something similar. I’ve got about 4-5 softball size pieces of liverock stacked in the center of my tank. My bta is the only thing on the island. Occasionally, it wanders around into new spots, but I haven’t had a problem with it leaving the island in the year it’s been on it.

To answer both op and caveman's comment, yes, you can contain a magnifica to an island, they tend to stay put if perched high up on a rock to take in all the light they can get.
They are also natural host nems for occs, and percs.

I have three separate islands in my 120 gallon. One is all bta, the other is sps and the last is softies. I have about nine bta on that island. they do move, but i move them back .

I’ve kept one that’s spilt on one rock for 9-10 months they are in the middle bottom BTAs they shouldn’t move on yah unless they are really unhappy.
