I also use the long disposable polyethylene veterinary gloves when I'm going to be in the tank for an extended length of time. Bought a box of 100 at the local farm & home store for around $10 about 8 years ago and just used the last one a couple weeks ago (I usually only use one at a time). My primary goal is not to protect my hands/arms, but to avoid contaminating the tank with skin oils, dirt, or whatever else I've gotten into during the day. The heavy aquarium gloves are, to me, useless. For a quick dip into the tank, I just rinse my hands and arms really well at the sink, no soap.

I was searching through aquarium cleaning products on Amazon and came across long gloves.
Do many people wear them or is it just a very small percentage of tank owners?
to add to this question, i have a 30 inch deep beast that i am slowly getting up and running, what does everyone use to attach and build your reef in this depth. Drop water level, and then insert frag's?

I don’t use gloves just rinse w water and try to watch what I handle only using the non reef hand/ arm. If I do use soap is dawn dish soap, Blue liquid w lil ducky and rinse well. No issues.

I wear long ones on occasion, but they are cumbersome. I use short ones if I want to catch bristleworms. or if I suspect some worms are there. Most of the time I go in bare hands.

I voted no because 95 % of the time the answer is no. But I do have some calling shoulder length gloves for times I’m working on greasy engines or something I want to make sure I don’t have a residue get in the water. They are thin and can get them at tractor supply.

wash my hands and arms with Dawn Were and Clear, rinse well, wear surgical gloves with rubber band to keep it tight, freak out if I get arm pit deep (just kidding stopped using deodorant, (no just kidding about that)) and try to only go in when absolutely required. Have sets if prongs, acrylic rods and tongs which I try to use.

I have also seen these gloves on Amazon.
But I was so confused by the reviews on the site that I decided not to order. And it’s good that I didn’t order it, because one of my friends told me that when he ordered such gloves, they came of poor quality and quickly broke. The same acquaintance said he found an alternative and ordered a pack of nitrile gloves from this website Emergency Kits, just a couple of sizes larger. I did the same, and I can say it is very convenient, I recommend everyone to try to do the same.
