I just started using shoulder length gloves a few months ago and absolutely love them, They obviously don’t provide the dexterity as bare hands but for most tasks they are fine.

I wear gloves. One because I don’t want to risk contamination but mostly because of my maroon clown who thinks my skin is delicious....

These are the ones I use

I wash hands thoroughly without soap, wear latex gloves before going to the tank.

Have a pair up to the shoulder but too thick. Long food service might be better but have not seen any around.

I use these:

$20 for 100 disposable.

they are for inseminating cows and horses not fish :D

I use the long vet animal examination gloves with a nitrile glove on the hand and elastic band around the wrist.

Shoulder length gloves here for as much of the maintenance as I can to avoid contamination in both directions. I do find there are times when I just can’t do the work that is needed with the cumbersome gloves though and I will wear the gloves sold at BRS instead that are tightly fitting but only wrist length. Not sure how necessary it is, but I figure if it doesn’t bother me to do it, the effort isn’t hurting anything. :)

I was searching through aquarium cleaning products on Amazon and came across long gloves.
Do many people wear them or is it just a very small percentage of tank owners?
I wear two different kinds: the thicker tighter aqua gloves when I don’t need dexterity and I wear veterinarian Exam gloves with a surgical glove over it when I need more dexterity
