So 1 found an apastasia... again. last one was on powerhead so I could remove it to kill the thing. This one is on a rock that I really can't move easily. I tried the boiling water which I squirted in its mouth, it looked like it shriveled up good but came back a day later. I really don't want to use chemicals at this point. I have heard people use lemon juice or vinager. What are the proper ways to use and will it harm anything since it would need to be done in tank? Thanks in advance.

Superglue.

I second the super glue. Just go to the dollar store get a 2 pack of super glue GEL and stick a big glob over it covering the whole thing. Problem solved!

I do have coral glue.... wonder if that would be okay. I also know that's safe for in tank use. do I just cover whole thing? or just the mouth?

I do the boiling water, you just have to make sure you get it good and sometimes a second turkey baster amount is needed or yes, sometimes it'll come back

I was very skeptical of super glue. For killing Vermited snails, aipstisa, or frag plugs it seems like everyone loves it especially the gel. I choose to go the aiptasia X road. From what I've learned it's pretty much kalk paste. I take a 10 ml syringe and mix 5ml of aiptasia X with 2-3 ml tank water and I have had no problems.

Its the same thing. Coral glue = Super glue gel. The only difference is in thickness consistency. Superglue over the whole thing. Do not let any small pieces escape and grow new aptasias.

I actually did that when I transfer a leather coral to my nano and hope to get rid of the possibility to bring some with it. I poured hot water over the rock (not the coral) and there were babies coming out in a few weeks from the rock

It's really not this difficult, go buy some aptasia x follow the direction and they will be gone on the 1st try. It works 100 % of the time unless you don't follow the instruction which are pretty simple.
Lfs was out, have some on order at bulk Reef, will be here in 3 days. The super glue did the trick this time! I will be more prepared for any others
