What if i pour boiling water over the rock??A torch
You could try that. A blowtorch would make quick/stinky work out of them. You could also let the rock dry out completely in the sun for a few days. What if i pour boiling water over the rock??
thanks i will try that, i would need a gallon go aiptasia x just to do a couple of rocks,You could try that. A blowtorch would make quick/stinky work out of them. You could also let the rock dry out completely in the sun for a few days.
have a banded shrimp in there, will he eat them, my others have disappearedAiptasia x is the best way to go. If you throw superglue in it stays in there, aptasia x breaks down. Never had any issues with it. Use it to kill most of it, then throw peppermint shrimp in to help keep control over it.
Nope, just the peppermints.have a banded shrimp in there, will he eat them, my others have disappeared
sorry i meant wouldn't the banded shrimp eat the peppermint shrimpNope, just the peppermints.
Oh gotcha. No I don't think you'll have trouble there.sorry i meant wouldn't the banded shrimp eat the peppermint shrimp
I used it...took 10 seconds bang done...I took it out of the tank to be safe. It was on a rock I could remove. If you do decide to use chemicals at some point in time, might want to try Aiptasia X - I've never had any bad side effects from using it and it's kind of fun watching those little pests blow up and disappear.
I did have peppermints in there and i put in the banded, and now they are goneOh gotcha. No I don't think you'll have trouble there.
I missed that part, sorry. Yeah, it looks like other people have had that issue as well. Can you QT the coral until the peppermints have time to do their job?I did have peppermints in there and i put in the banded, and now they are gone
So 1 found an apastasia... again. last one was on powerhead so I could remove it to kill the thing. This one is on a rock that I really can't move easily. I tried the boiling water which I squirted in its mouth, it looked like it shriveled up good but came back a day later. I really don't want to use chemicals at this point. I have heard people use lemon juice or vinager. What are the proper ways to use and will it harm anything since it would need to be done in tank? Thanks in advance.
