Aquaforest Nitrate Removal

Again the NP pro comes for dosing link. Link. Yes, last time I ordered NP Pro it was on backorder and and diluted it for dosing off of a regular doser. After diluting it I dose 2 ml twice a day, I have been doing this for 8 months.

The key is to stir and keep the Pro Bio S stirred or it starts to grow algae and also store below 78 degrees. ;)
Awesome, thanks man! Im gonna keep this in mind. Can you buy pro bio s in bulk and how dose dosing that work?

Pro Bio S comes in the 50 ml bottle and that is it right now. I dose the same amount as I do with the NP Pro daily. I mixed the 50ml bottle with 2000 ml of RO/DI for dosing on both.

Nice so just use the 2000ml np pro as is and mix the pro bio s with 2000ml or rodi, im using ro right now cuz I dont have a unit yet but could prob get some rodi or just get a jug of distilled

First off your system is 2 months old and still cycling and yes you nutrient levels and going to be all over the place. I also would not advise running bio pellets with AF systems, from my experience of running bio pellets is was not good.

I would suggest
running GFO, carbon and the life bio fil media, this will help with controling your nutrients.
I would suggest also running AF 1+2+3+ for you systems parameters and elements along with reef salt. You can also dose ABE&V and that is all you would need if you feed the mysis plus some other fine food with our frozen.

Run Phosphate at .02 to .04 is a good thing for a reef thank and nitrates of 3 to 12 or higher depending how your system looks. At this point you are more concerned with the phosphates. If you need to get your phosphates in line pretty quick I would suggest looking at products that use lanthanum chloride link.

I have a two little fishes Phosban 550 reactor and plan to run carbon, rowaphos and the AF Life bio fil media in it (everything is in route from BRS now). Any suggestions on how I should stack the media from top to bottom? I already have a maxi-jet 1200 (295 gph), should I order a bigger pump to run this media? Also, would it be too much to run some of the zeolite media in there as well (It is a pretty large reactor)? I am nervous to try the zeolite media due to some complaining of it stripping too much nutrients and killing coral.

Thanks for your time,
Colin

Life bio fil on the bottom, then carbon and rowaphos on top.

Thank you. Do you think the maxijet 1200 (296 gph) is enough flow? If not, how much flow do recommend for going through the reactor?
