I bought these a week and a half ago.I acclimated them with the drip for 1.5 hrs. When I first put them in the tank they opened right up for the day but the next morning they never reopened since.I have two pics with the one opened up and the other pic are what they look like now.I am new to the hobby and any help would be appreciated.I have a 29 gal. with a 30 gal.sump that has been set up for 8 mo. thanks...

Well, the bottom ones are fine. The first pic they are mad, but do not look dead by any means. Is it evening? Did something bother them? They look just closed up to me. Looks like they are not fully opened in the second pic. Could be time of day or something bothering them. Keep an eye on them over day and check for any pests.

The bottom pic is when I first got them and they opened right up after acclamation from the fish store. The top pic.is what they look like now.Next day they never reopened and have not opened since I have not seen any thing bothering it..Can you tell me what this polyps name is?I am using MarsAqua Dimmable 300W LED for my lighting.Thank You

If you have the space you might want to find them some shade for awhile and see how they respond. Don't put them in the shadows, but a place where the light will be much less then where they are now. What are your parameters? Is your Alkalinity kept stable or is it bouncing around? How do your other corals look?

The alkalinity is at 8.2 salinity is 1.025 kh is at 12 This is the only polyps I have since I am new at this hobby. This may give you some idea of where I have them placed..

did you try dipping them before putting them in?

i forgot to do so on mine and it might have had eggs because a month later they all started coming off my rock and then i found this little guy two weeks later to noticing the polyps coming off the rock.

ok guys thanks for all your help I will try moving them to less light.I did not dip them when I got them.I do have a nassarius snail and 2 crabs in my tank also.

As above, move them down to the sandbed in decent flow, they are palys so should be pretty bullet proof, also as above check for pests.

Looks like they got a little too much light too quick. You can eventually get them up there if that's where you want them but make a couple smaller moves over a couple weeks time. Just keep in mind those will win ever coral war and that's what you'll eventually have covering every rock.

+1^. I have some pink ones that are taking over and I've had to already take some rocks out and sell them.

300 watts on a 29 gallon that is a lot of light and they are up to high on the rocks. I would move them down like suggested till they accumulate. But with that much lighting you will probably not get them to that location as it will be to high a light level for their liking. If you do it will take months to properly accumulate them. That spot you have them in is prime real estate and is the hot spot of high light that is right below the fixture and would be better off with a high light coral. You should place it on the substrate below the yellow tang if it has good flow. That is where I would put them if this was my tank.
