Back at it! Peroxide vrs cyanobacteria

I think it may come down to the half life of peroxide.
My tests so far are done under about 200 lux (room lighting) with positive results

So far with my tests h2o2 has a lifespan of less than 24 hours against this bacteria
I have also reintroduced this bacteria after h2o2 stripping into my test tank and completely dies without any repopulation of the bacteria

How do skimmers react on this treatment?
Would it be useful to run like a better sock for removal as you have some sort of breakdown?

I have been thinking about this as some people do not run skimmers.
Once the scope comes in I will be able to see what parts of the cells are breaking down into the water. The only thing is being able to measure the cell size for capture in the aquarium.

I have been currently reducing nutrients, and spot removal siphon method, tried chemiclean with little success. I would also be willing to volunteer this tank for your testing. More than willing to document everything for you and provide culture samples for you as well.

From all the literature I have been reading reducing nutrients may not be helpful as the thylakoids can sustain with light in low nutrient waters
Also they appear green with more red spectrum lighting

I have been reading the same thing. And have focused more on manual removal. Which has proven successful but a rather slow process as there is alot that is not visible. And I figure this could be beneficial for everyone.

Yes indeed and that is the issue.
When siphoned out there is a substantial chance that some of the bacteria is released back into the water.

Now reduced nutrients do to hair algae, once hair algae started dieing off green cyano came up with a vengeance. This tank has been running 4 yrs in my possession for 6 months sand bed was replaced at time of move most equipment came with the system.
