Happy Sunday! Don't forget to clean your pumps! and this explains why after about 1 year of operation my flow decreased significantly. Really happy I plumbed in some quick disconnect lines to access the pump quickly.

No issues with the impeller, looked pretty new all considering! Flows much better, expecting significant growth with my frag going forward!

Was about to ask if anyone see some growth already!

For me the guy sits in the tank now, looks really healthy and PE and so, but barely any noticeable growth yet ;-)

I think this guy need to settle a bit before he decides to grow, lol.

I noticed similar decreased flow from my return and it turned out to be due to not having back-flushed my chiller for.....well, I really can't remember how long ago it was that I last did it. A ton of gunk blasted out of there and flow was back to normal afterward. Solid maintenance program is key.
My frag looked healthy when I left home a week ago. Hope to see that some further encrusting has occurred when I get back next week.

My phosphates shot through the roof. Like .34ppm. Yes .34, not .034. Happened after a snail spawning event in my tank last week. Been doing wc every day to help bring it down. Never seen po4 this high in any tank I've ever kept. Has me a bit concerned to be honest.

I had mine shoot up also a few weeks ago but it didn't do anything to my alk consumption. Mine is finally coming down and I'm still a tad high at .13 as of this morning.

Good to know. Everything looks pretty good to be honest. I ran the test 3 times on the Hanna ulr. I thought it was testing error, lol. Res sea kit came back high as well.

Worst PO4 I got after a stupid action was 0.35-0.38.......
Reduced it over a weeks time with no significant issues via GFO.
Just take it slow to get it down again and not too drastic!!!

Sounds like a solid plan! I dug my old phosban reactor out of storage. Media should be at my house when I get home from work. May or may not run it though. Going to change out another 10 gallons tonight and see where it's at.

Sound good. Stripping with GFO very harsh usually harms more than it helps. Seriously use only maybe 100ml-200ml of GFO in a reactor fir about 150G tank volume and let it run through slowly, even so slow that it does not tumble on the surface. Biggest bleaching events coming from PO4 dropped too fast. I hear repeatedly that stripping PO4 led to TN issues.

Very cool! I got mine glued down second day I had it. Now to figure out what to do with the rest of the frags I have to glue down. I'm out of room. Is an inch apart too close for acro frags

LOL I know the feeling! I didn't glue any others down from the frag rack, only that one. The rest I don't know where to put!

I really don't want to, but I'll probably have to redo my rock work. Maybe I can fish out the giant bristle or fire worm that resides in the lowest rock I'm my tank

If one day you want mature colonies, I’d go with 6” apart minimum. I’ve made the mistake of putting them a few inches apart and it’s starting to cause issues.

I'm gonna need a bigger tank. No doubt about that.

I was actually thinking of mounting a couple on the back glass. Still not sure. Never tried that before. I feel like a couple tabling acros would look really cool.

This is why I'm starting up a 60g frag/growout tank....moar room! In fact, I might even pull some frags from the display and move them out until I decide they are worthy or move them along and place only the prettiest ones in my display. At least...that's the plan.

Also, I have a huge bristleworm as well hiding in one of my rocks. I've tried to nab him with some long tweezers but that's about impossible.

My huge Bristleworm was 8 feet long, ate Fish and Corals and was highly toxic…… he was a Bobbit worm !!!
