My Two Little Fishies reactors did well for their time but the cheap material started leaking and I am need of a more robust system. I have done some due diligence but want to know, what do you use? Recommend??

I have a 120g display and 40g sump for my reef tank. I value quality over price.

Let's hear it, what do you use or recommend??

Thanks,

I use Nextreef 250 gallon reactor for my 150 display. I have had not one issue from this, came with adjustable pump. Hope my joy helps you. Good day

I when with bulk reefs reactor for carbon after my 2 little fishes started going down hill. Perry happy with it.

zzzDiver- I looked at BRS, it looks like they are fed with small gauge airline tubing like an RO/DI filter no?

1/2 line picture is tuff to see, I move about 120 gph through it, it pretty ex to change carbon out and does a good job with ROX .8

Btw I use the mini reactor on my 100gal I Believe it holds three quarters of a cup max

BRS duel reactor. If you buy it as a kit it comes with the pump. I love mine

For you guys that have the BRS dual reactor... no matter what I do I can't get my GFO to tumble more than maybe 1/4" at most at the very top. I run GFO in the first container and Carbon in the second. I've tried 1/3 full GFO all the way to to 2/3 GFO with the same problem.

BRS suggested mixing them together and holding them together with the sponges.. but i would rather figure it out. Any ideas? Sorry if I hijacked the thread.

It's ok Coral, I'd like to know the answer. I have separate TLF reactors now and can control them independently so this would be a change

I'm not sure if I have the proportion correct but I think it's 1 teaspoon for each 10 gallons of water mine tumble fine. I change the carbon every two weeks and the gfo evert four weeks

Yes, adjust your pump or get a bigger one if you have to use that much gfo. Mine also tumbles fine, change it once a month. I use the pump that came with the reactors. 75 gallon display and 20 gallon frag tank on the same sump. I use between 1/4 and 1/2 cup gfo.

Thanks guys. I am using the pump that came with the reactor it was a package deal. It also comes with a valve to control the flow which I have all the way open. I don't mind using less GFO but when I used only like 1/3 and it still doesn't tumble that just seems wrong to me. I was going to buy a second one as I know one isn't big enough for my tank but with this experience so far I'm not so sure I am going to.
