Best Website for Acropora

If you want quality with reasonable prices, then BattleCorals and Boom are as good as it gets. It sounds fishy to me that Adam would let a reefer be upset over two shipments... not like him at all.

BattleBox is a great product with great prices, but you don't get to pick what you get... but I don't know if I ever heard of anybody being upset.

I like RMF too, but they are a bit more for the collector and a bit more on the pricey side.

If you buy enough, most will give you a good discount.

You can also browse the for-sale forum on here for hobbyist sales - these can also be very good values.

Love the passive aggressiveness and throwing shades like that ha ha.
Adam did not make me upset, as I said I was the one who did not want more dead coral and lost around 800$.
I have spent thousands of dollars with adam in the past. It just happen that I no longer see battle coral fit for me.

You share your valuable experiences, and I share my useless one ha ha ha
Cheers jda;)

It won't be just me who will find it hard to believe that you lost $800 dealing with him. I might believe that you got a shipment with dead coral since it happens to every shipper, but being out $800 just does not fit... or that you would not be upset if you did. You are probably going to be alone on this one.

Ha ha right!. Buddie 800$ is nothing. I have never placed an order with adam less than 700$
And thatd where people like you give wrong impressions to others.
Buying small frags is diffrent than buying colonies. Colonies do not ship well..at least thatd what we concluded.
Btw I did not even go back to adam telling him the 2nd shipment did not make it ad well cause I like the guy and did not want to kill more coral.
Prob if he read this he will be suprised ha ha.

So yeh bud, do not pre judge people or speak on their behalf...there is details in every story.

I have bad luck with a vendor who specializes in clean algae, pods, captive bred inverts, etc. My orders arrive more dead than alive, my guess is there's a breakdown somewhere in the delivery chain.

I ordered 4 or 5 times, they replaced dead snails and more dead snails arrive, so I stopped ordering like you did to stop the waste. Tracking never shows any delays, I don't know if USPS is storing them in an unconditioned space prior to delivery, shaking the box like a maraca, whatever they are doing I think they are the cause of my issue not the vendor.
Oh yeh man. It happens and it's not the end of the world.
Usually small frags do better with shipments. Larger colonies require more water volume and not easy to pack.
It's not a big deal though, I still like the guy and love his coral. My system have alot of battle coral pieces.
Recently I switched to unique coral. Good prices and shipping been really good.

...so you don't tell him, but you post about him on a public forum? That is not a stand-up move.

I think that everybody can probably see what is happening here...
Yes because: I do not tell him that is me not caring and not wanting to kill more coral...basically gave up.

Answering someone question: that is me being honest, not fluff things or qoute others like some do;). I am sharing my own experince. Am not bound by adam or any others. Am here for the reefing community not for you or the retailers.....

Cheers;)

You received $800 worth of dead corals from him and didn’t tell him about the shipment because you “like the guy”?

Ha ha, well I did not say I did not tell him.
I got 1st shipment it was mostly dead except for small frag.
I told the the guy, once he saw the pics, he prepared diffrent shipment (something he chose) and ship it. Kudos go him
It also arrived mostley dead except small frag.
At this point it was not worth going back and keep doing this loop. Neither I would ask for my money back because when I order online I understand the risk. I did not expect the guy to intentionally send me dead coral...so it was only fair i bare the consequences and move on. The way I see it Adam also lost a shipment he was not paid for....

Can we try to keep it on topic for OP instead of getting out in the weeds?

I haven’t bought from Adam, but I do have his pieces thru his buddy. I’ve texted Adam a few times and he seems like a stand up guy. I wonder if @Battlecorals can share some thoughts on this? Let’s see if he’s surprised as you say?

Agreed 100%
On my end, used to be battle coral for couple years. Adam is nice and fair.

Recently dealing with unique coral. Joe is awesome also.

That being said I try to use LFS ad much as possible of available. Nothing like seeing the ciral infornt of you instead of depending on pictures..

Good luck.

Ha ha, sure.

I was going to say battlecorals battlepack as well...

Although I have used most of the large vendors without issue and have been happy and even ebay. I will say for the value battle packs are solid, followed by unique corals SPS pack. The liveaquaria sps pack wasn't many acros so I wouldn't get that one again.

Definitely would recommend @Battlecorals and @Cultivated Reef . I've gotten some nice size frags from both of them and they continue to grow and do well.

I'll probably get blasted on this board for this one, but I've also ordered from Cornbred's ebay store and been pretty happy with what I got for the money. Yeah, the frags are tiny and freshly cut. The corals I ordered from him arrived healthy and colored up and are generally the color I expected in my tank. You have to know what you are willing to pay and be prepared to stop bidding. 6 or 7 sticks for $250 is a good deal (the corals I got on ebay would have been $500-$600 if I ordered from his website) and he threw in a freebie.

Another vote for Battlecorals. My adam bomb fell in my rock for weeks and came out still alive. Other then BC I've gotten all of my pieces from the fine folks on this site. I have no LFS or I would support them if I could.

I would have to say that the best shipment of acros I have ever gotten was from @CherryCorals, I purchased 5 high end frags from them including a CC Pink Highlighter and a BC Aquaticman table from their last live sale, the PE was unbelievable in the bag, they also colored up nicely in a short period of time. I have also had good luck with @Battlecorals and @TopShelfAquatics.
