Has anyone had problems with Turbo Snails in their biocubes? I've heard they are good at getting the algae out but can also knock everything over in the process.
I haven't had any problem with turbos in my BioCube 29. It's been up and running for about 3 months and I like the turbos over the other snails.

Mexican turbo would be the only concern if you have lose frag plugs on rockwork. they are a lot bigger than your average turbo . they are bulldozers with a huge appetite and wouldn't survive long in a 29 gallon bio cube , end up starving to death.

Here is a biocube 29 revhtree and many are familiar with! I won this one in the 2014 Reefapalooza R2R raffle![emoji3] It was entered in a R2R contest entitled "2014 Nano in 90 competition" in July 2014. This was a fun contest where you had to build a nano in 90 days with a $500 FMV allowance on corals, fish were not limited. Most of the corals started as frags to expand FMV allowance. So in 1 yr and 9 months, it is now this tank! A complete build up thread can be found under rjramos 29 biocube. Basically upgraded pump MJ1200, lighting rapidLED retro with storm controller, aquaticlife 115 skimmer( chamber 1). Home made media and refugium baskets in chamber2. I use purigen, and chemipure.

Last additions a pair of Miami Whites[emoji16]

I have a 14 gallon coralife biocube. Turned the middle chamber into a refugium, coralife biocube protein skimmer in the right chamber (had to remove stock filter pad to fit). Upgraded to truelumen 12" LED strips. One diamond white and one Actinic blue. I also have the stock moon light led and an added white LED in the available opening. I got extreemely lucky with my live rock since it came with a golf ball coral and a blasto coral, one or two brittle stars, 2 slugs, and a bristle worm or 2 (they're scary looking but from my research cause no harm. The cycle just ended (a full month with live rock and live sand) and I will be getting my first corals this weekend. Goodluck with you 29g

I've kept pretty much everything in a bio cube 29 with stock lighting. I started with heavy softie and Lps and moved to an anemone only tank. I've ran an In tank media rack, tune skimmer, mp10, koralia, auto top off, etc. and the end of the day what works for me is the kiss method. Keep it simple stupid. I took out the mp10, skimmer, ato and run the media rack and stock lights with the koralia for extra flow. I also added tru lumen led strips for pop. Here are a couple pics of the livestock I have been able to keep and have thrive in the tank. No additives no dosing, just a bi- weekly 20% water change.

P.s. tang was there temporarily and now lives in my 110.

I have trochus snails in my Biocube. They do an excellent job and don't get big enough to knock things over.

I have a few small Mexican turbos. When they get too big they can go down in my sump area, or back to my LFS for someone with a bigger system.
We also keep a few banded trochus, a few astria, a ninja star, a few cerith, and one nasarius. (pardon any misspelled names)
