Black Box Light Improved

Much more expensive than either, but I keep seeing good things about the Noopsyche (which I probably butchered the spelling of).

For $150 it's a solid steal, as it rivals the AI Hydra's and supposedly stands in the shadow of a Radion. The problem is you also need the $60 controller. It's interesting if it had that built in as wifi / bluetooth program and was $200, people would be less critical.

People don't like having so many controllers haha
Are those prices from the manufacturer? I've only seen those lights going for close to $300.

Noopsyche K7 proII goes for $159 each, controller is $59 that's $218 with controller, and $247 for light, controller and tank mount, you will need a controller but that will control up to 16 of those lights.
So cheapest buy in would be $218 for light and controller.

Do you have a link or do you have to contact the manufacturer directly?
 
are the middle bottom of the original led glued or sodder onto the led chip?? must you to break it apart to remove? how to do that?
 
LED beads may be attached in two different ways. Either a dab of thermal grease or thermal adhesive and then soldered in place (making sure the positive and negative are on the correct poles).

The majority of these LED's simply use thermal grease. So to remove, use a solder iron and either a solder sucker or solder wick to remove the old bead. The new bead gets a very small dab of thermal grease and is soldered back in.

My experience with those attached with thermal glue required that I destroy the old bead to get it out. Again, gluing is not found in many of these CBB's. Actually the only fixture I've worked on with thermal glue were Fathom Hydra's (now out of business) Here's what I usually end up with after removing the glued bead.

my wattshine blackbox just required a little nipple twister... seemed like a small dab of glue or somethihg. Guess I'm a lucky one they came off smoothly and can be glued back on.

Was @Ashley Kekua talking about the LED bead or the lens? If it is the lens, they typically pop off with a slight twist and lift. My preference in putting back on is simply the friction fit. But, as @actik pointed out, if not fitting by friction, a light dot of super glue to hold it in place.
 
The diodes were glued down with thermal paste. I had to use a tiny flathead screwdriver from an eyeglass repair kit and lightly tap it under each one to pop them off.
