Most black ich lately is prazi resistant.

You will want to treat the fish with formalin.

However, make sure you aren't seeing scaring. If the spots were completely gone during treatment, it's likely not scaring.

The best way to be sure that the worms are completely gone is to put a white Molly in with them to be sure they are gone.

Well for about 3 days i didn’t see any black spots they have now returned formalin is bought on amazon? And used as a bath i take it

How much would you dose in 13gallons copper is pretty much done was in copper for 30+ days

What kind of copper? Cupramine and copper power both have accurate dosing instructions but they’re different types of copper.

I used copper power to treat the regular ich the fish had that seems to be gone but the black ich is the new one

Does a freshwater dip remove it? A few dips and double dose prazi will likely hammer it. IME, black ich isn’t very difficult to kill.

1.48ml per gallon = 2.5ppm
1.33ml per gallon = 2.25ppm
1.18ml per gallon = 2.0ppm
1.04ml per gallon = 1.75ppm
.89ml per gallon = 1.5ppm

hmm think i didnt dose enough then.. i was told dosing 2.5ml on the full 10g would be enough so the dose should be 1.20 ml x 13 gallons = 15.5 ml for the full QT tank correct? sounds abit much no?

actually it says 1 teaspoon for 32gallons to reach a 2.5ppm dosage so it should be 5ml per teaspoon so 2.5ml dose every 5 days should be enough ?

Unfortunately that isn’t uncommon these days (multiple ailments). This is why @HotRocks and I “throw the book at them” oftentimes...

Kanaplex metroplex and furan 2 for 10-14 days. Can use with copper but ensure you have a bubbler and power head breaking surface because mixing meds increases the risk of bacterial blooms and reduced oxygen.

ordered the goodies hopefully it helps the little guy, still trying to stop the black ich all spots gone only 1-2 so i think the prazipro is finally working alittle

Prazi degrades in the water column pretty quickly and does its work within 24 hours. The second dose in 5 to 7 days will kill any hatchlings the first dose didn't kill. It will be a good idea to do a water change after 24 hours because of how much prazi reduces available oxygen

You'll probably be ok but make sure to do as much as possible for surface agitation and watch his breathing. Definitely do the water change after the treatment and you'll want to have some water mixed up if things go sideways and you need to do an emergency water change
