Blue Star Leopard Wrasses

May try ordering in some live foods?...i noticed minr had harder time with the pe mysis due to its size maybe try a smaller type of mysis

I love that fish!!! I had mine for a couple of years. Mine started as female but then transitioned to male. The female is SOOO much prettier!!!! I've been trying to replace mine since I lost mine but LFS never gets them in any more :( . Good much with those beauties!

I tried two before this one and they never ate just sand bed and disappeared and died. ..this time i tried acclimation box per advice from @eatbreakfast and she got used to my lighting sched and fed in there then was released into dt and she has been getting more and more used to lighting was out from @830am-@618 pm today and has been eating frozen and live foods i feel if she was just let go she would've went into dt and burrow into sand never to be seen again...but every experience is different and so is every fish and handler

All three came out today again and tonight ate frozen mysis and brine :) feeling much better about them.

Ordered some Blue Star Leopard Wrasses as its what I've been wanting since we set the tank up. Over a year of digging through forums, talking to folks, and research. They finally arrived today [emoji7] I ordered 3 females, hoping for 2 to survive shipping, but all 3 made it! Could not be more thrilled.

Beautiful.

They have a 20L QT I set up just for them. I added sand, rock, filtration, and pods. When they are done with QT they will go in my DT which only has 2 fish, a small Flame Hawkfish and a Sleeper Goby.

Aweeeessoommmeee...love these fish mine arose this morning when lights on as well and eating frozen still i hope yours continueto do awesome and please dont forget to post pics on here once they are in display ....are you treating them with anything?

Will do :)
And yes, if they continue to eat well I'll be starting General Cure (Praziquantel + Metronidazole) tomorrow.

@evolved - would you recommend 1 round of General Cure, or 2? And if 2, how long should I wait between treatments?
I plan on 6 weeks of quarantine on the same lighting schedule as the DT. Should that be ok? And continue feeding small amounts often (I'm currently feeding 6x/day), or eventually wean them back to 1-2 feeds/day?

I would do 2, a week to 10 days apart.

And no need to scale back feedings. Presumably there should be more pods/fauna for them to feed on in the DT.

All 3 are out and eating frozen very well. The largest enjoys her beauty sleep-didn't emerge until almost 3 today (I think it was even later yesterday).

Nobody thinks the one in the middle may be beginning the transition to male? Albeit far less than I thought I saw originally, I swear I see it starting. But I'm not an expert mine is half way transitioned.
