Blue Star Leopard Wrasses

Good luck with them hope they do well. That is the way I suggest to quarantine them, I've had the best results that way. I've never gone 3 for 3 though. That would be impressive. Keep your thread updated.

You got any shrimp in dt?

As far as food shrimp? Possibly. I've got 2 years worth of pod growth with only a Hawkfish and sleeper goby, so there's plenty of "bugs" crawling around. I'll probably seed the DT once more before they go in.
Larger shrimp I have a skunk cleaner and harlequin. Both are large enough they will not be food. These wrasses are fairly small.

Thank you! I hope so too! They've completed their first round of General Cure with no issues and voracious appetites. They started on Mysis and Brine. I've now added plankton and Rods to the mix and they are loving it.
Their schedules are becoming more "normal". The largest is still quite lazy and gets up around 11 then back to bed around 6. I matched the QT lighting schedule to the DT so that hopefully the transition will be less stressful.
They are still a bit skittish. They know when I approach it means food, but prefer to be in the back of the tank when they eat. Plenty of time to get used to me though :)
I'm still very pleased with them and optimistic. None of the three appear stressed or skinny. All actively hunt while awake. They are beautiful fish.

Sweet sounds like something went right through their shipping process. I always used live Aquaria too. They are the best guarantee on leopard wrasses by far. The good thing is if you get past the 2 week guarantee then the success rate is quite a bit better.

When I was quarantining them, I would usually order 3 too hopefully get one. Haven't had to do it in a long time, I have 5 in 2 tanks all well over a year.

Awesome! I think I lucked out on getting 3 that arrived alive.

I actually ordered the blue star leopard wrassed from AFRICA from LA and they were backordered. I see you got the ones from Maldives!

They look amazing! good luck with them.

Just wanted to update since we are 2 weeks in: all is going well! All 3 have adjusted to my lighting schedule. They still eat like hogs-I'm feeding Mysis, Plankton, and Rods mixed into a cocktail. They prefer the mysis but have started figuring out it's all food. I'm going to do a water change today as I've got 20 ppm nitrates, but otherwise all is well :)

3 weeks in and all is going great! I started the second round of General Cure on Sunday. They are all still eating well and seem to have adjusted to the outside daylight schedule moreso than my lighting schedule, but that's fine as it isn't too far off.
As we approach the end of quarantine I am trying to figure out the best way to catch these girls? Anytime I go to work in the tank/do a water change, they dive for the sand. I'd like to make the transition as low stress as possible... Any ideas?

Reach into the sand with your hand put them into acclimation for your new tank

All three were added to the display last night. They were up on time this morning, eating heartily, and seem to be thrilled with all the rockscape they now get to patrol. My Goby is pretty thrilled to have some friends as well :)

Did you use copper for treatment or just Prazi?
