You have nicer corals than me...for some reason my hard corals don't do so well so far...one thing I do do is to hide the mounts and try to make each one as natural looking as possible...maybe that's my mistake, getting them set aesthetically too early...I guess I'm also cheap with the quality...
 
Thanks:) this is my first tank! And my first frag was the Unkown. I have thought about taking them off the plugs but I'm moving soon so I'll be able to just put them in bags for transport. I don't think the plugs are the reason though. A lot of it is water parameters. I know you have been reefing longer so take this with a grain of salt but I heard reefing isn't about keeping fish and corals it's about keeping water. If you can maintain good water parameters you can do just about anything (as well as light and flow lol). I'm young and really new to this so that's just my two cents

You're right...and I am checking and changing water all the time...I'll keep at it till I get it right...Thanks...:cool:
 
Got back to school where my tank is after 4 days away. My green monti appears to be bleaching so I moved it down on the sand bed. Also my acan got knocked over and was on its side for who knows how long so it got pretty ticked off. I hope it is ok though. Im working on a water change and I will be testing params a little bit after.

What a difference...looks great...obviously that isn't the stock light from Innovative Marine (Skyelight)...it looks beautiful...can't afford new lighting, but that is great...

Thanks Congaken! No its an AI Prime. Lighting is the one thing I really focused on when setting this tank up. But slowly it is coming together. Im getting some RFA and Rics tomorrow so Im pretty excited about that. Also I might drop into the LFS and pick up a new fish maybe an acan frag.

What is an AIPrime?
 
I know now...there's an Eheim LED actinic for sale on EBay...its used, but just by an old lady on Sunday :D...how does this unit compare to yours...I just can't afford $200.00...there are 6 hours left to this auction...let me know what you think of it...ASAP...Thanks...Ken

How much is the Eheim LED? Is it the powerLED or a strip? Ive see some people post Primes in classifieds for about 150 with the mount. Also kessil too. Ill look into that light real quick and get back to you!:)
