Bowen's Fusion 10

I know now...there's an Eheim LED actinic for sale on EBay...its used, but just by an old lady on Sunday :D...how does this unit compare to yours...I just can't afford $200.00...there are 6 hours left to this auction...let me know what you think of it...ASAP...Thanks...Ken

Also idk if you have a bulb fixture handy but these are a little cheaper and can grow a lot of different types of corals. http://www.rapidled.com/12-led-par38-bulb-mixed-color-with-uv/

Which doesnt come with a mount?
no...the guy had a white and a blue on one mount...he's keeping the white so I guess he needs the mount...if you have time to take a look at ebay, tell me what you think...also, my group of small fish are working out great in the 10...that's the chalk bass, purple fire fish, and 2 yellow watchman...no fights, no nothing and good scale for these tanks...

I think I found the one you are talking about. That light is going to be extremely blue. The guy has both a white and a blue puck and he is selling just the blue one. If you look at the photos, you can see that he is using white and blue and it is still super blue. Its all up to you. If you are only keeping fish any light will do, its when you start to keep corals you have to think about PAR output and spectrum.

Ordering a 12" actinic strip with remote...should help the drama and corals a lot...by the way what is that pink coral sticking out on the left...sort of a shelf...how's it doing?...Ken

The one on the right you mean? That is a montipora capricornis aka Monti Cap. They come in multiple colors red, purple, green. Some also have green with blue polyps and other variety

Lol. I think it will look good. I'm looking to upgrade to the IM lagoon 25 so it will have more room to grow. But as it grows in I'll frag it to the size I want

I dont currently have the Lagoon 25 yet. I will probably be ordering it within the next month or so. As for the Monti Cap I got it from a guy locally and it cant get too big because I will be trimming it down as it grows, leaving me with some frags to trade for different corals

Mine is working just fine now. It just takes a while to break in. Whats the link to your build thread

Im far away from new york lol I live in Oregon right now
Yo, Bowen...working on a new cover for my fusion since the actinic strip is 12" and the rim of the cover takes up about 2" on each side...got some 1/4" hardware cloth...looks like the light goes through it just as well as the original cover...need to cut and play around a bit...with the new actinic strip and the skylight together, I swear that I can see the corals growing and spreading and fluorescing right before my eye...not as nice as yours, but big improvement...how's by you?...ken
