I took pictures of my drawings. I dont think they are going to help much. Lol. I am definitely not an engineer, just a fabricator.

I did the same thing many times over. Still have them all and they helped me immensely!! Was one of my favorite parts of the build. Miss some parts of those days.

Same. I have a filter. Mine is just selective. People at work only recently heard what my filter catches.

Saving for a grand graduation trip. Only God knows where that will be.

Cool graduation trip story. My second daughter always wanted to be a Vet (like dad in his first career haha). Then all of a sudden she wasn’t going to go to college. Typical teenage stuff wouldn’t talk about it. So I decided to bite the bullet and I took her to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro and a two week safari in the Serengeti. My thought was she would have the trip of a lifetime and once we got to the top of that mountain at 19000 feet 30 below zero and only me, her and whatever higher being you do or don’t believe in available to talk to. Once we got there it miraculously (not a given with all parenting technics) worked like a charm. She told me she didn’t want to go to Vet school because of the length and cost of school and while she loved working with animals her real dream was to do what her mom does which was to raise a gaggle of kids homeschool them and have a little farm. I gave her a hug and told her how proud I was of her and happy she knew what she wanted. And she said “you aren’t mad” I told her of course not that I just want her to do what makes her happy every day!! If she is smiling my heart is good!!
Long story and an expensive trip but what an experience and connection we still share from those talks under (or in) the sky and all the interactions with nature. So regardless the budget those trips are priceless! Like the one you just did to Orlando!! Life shapers for sure.

Hit me up. I designed the program and live video trained engineers and other inhabitants on the ISS how to do sutures and ultrasounds over live video from earth to the ISS. Coolest people to work with.

I also have a buddy that is the doc for NASA down in Texas that takes students all the time.

I will do everything I can to make his dreams become a reality. My family is old school Southern and the most females can aspire to is being a secretary. Very chauvinist mindset. I am an embarrassment to my family for being the way I am. I've made peace with it.

She ended up getting a vet tech degree and is now a part time animal keeper at the Louisville zoo!! She has the big cats and the old world primates. She lives close to the zoo and it is only part time so she is home on days her husband (an animal cop for the LMPD) is at work.

The mind and heart are both in the right place ...so this dad is all good with her.
